News from Comic-Con That We Didn't Tell You But That We Know You Want To Know: Part 1

Here's a smattering of info. on things that were reported from Comic-Con from other sites. Please check out Newsarama for specifics as they seem to have the smoothest operation out there.

*Doom Patrol is being worked on for a possible film at Warner Bros., with Adam Turner attached to write, though it sounds like it will not be the version seen most recently in the Teen Titans.

*Guillermo del Toro, director of Hellboy, is in negotiations to direct a Deadman film.

*The Incredible Hulk, a sequel of sorts to the Ang Lee directed Hulk, will be directed by Louis Leterrier (Transporter) and will reportedly bring the Hulk back to his comics roots rather than the widely panned Ang Lee version. Zak Penn, writer of the two most recent X-Men films, is set to write the screenplay.

*Superman will react to Superboy's death in upcoming issues of Action Comics. Connor Kent is dead and not in some alternate dimension (Editor's Note: However. we are talking about comics after all ...).

*Superboy Prime is a great villain and we should expect to see him again in the future.

*DC honchos hinted that month 9 of 52 will see the death of characters created after 1980

*The "real" Aquaman may still be around the DC universe.

*Expect a Zatanna origin story in an upcoming issue of 52.

*Renaissance, a new film coming from Miramax, looks AWESOME, from the trailer at least, particularly visually!
