Ka-Ching!

According to various news outlets, X:Men: The Last Stand had a record opening weekend. It's estimated that the film will take in over $107 million this long weekend. If that stands, it will be the biggest Memorial Day (US) weekend ever. Also, it would rank 4th in the list of biggest openings, following Spider-Man, Star Wars: Episode III, and Shrek 2.

Let the talk of a 4th film, even though The Last Stand is supposedly the final film, now begin in earnest. Already on the drawing board is a solo Wolverine film for Hugh Jackman and a Magneto prequel of sorts following the character played by Ian McKellen as a young man.
