Confirmed: Heath Ledger The New Joker

It's apparently a done deal: Heath Ledger will appear as the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins, entitled simply The Dark Knight. Apparently, we will get a Joker origin wrapped up in that and the film will feature his first altercation with Bats. We've said it already, but we think this is a good casting decision. However, we do hope that Jake Gyllenhall is not cast as Harley Quinn -- that would be going too far.
