Things That Make Us Happy: David Blaine's Failure

The Mister Fanboy Editorial Staff is proud to endorse David Blaine's failure as something that brings us joy. You know the kind. The joy, joy, joy, joy - Where? Down in our hearts?

We are definitely fans of his failure.

As we mentioned in an earlier post, Blaine was spending a week in a giant fish bowl , capping it off with a televised attempt attempt to break the world record for holding his breath underwater. HE FAILED! The record still holds at 8 min., 58 seconds. Blaine was able to only achieve a paltry 7 min., 8 seconds before he started to lose consciousness and was pulled from the water. He did, however, set a record for most time underwater. Big whoop. Any slack jawed yokel could do that one. No doubt that 7 min. 8 seconds is very impressive. Mister Fanboy recalls an evening hanging out with Cypress Hill

and Matthew McConaughy

where we attempted to hold our breath and only were able to hold it 2 min. 48 seconds, but purely for medicinal reasons of course. Blaine must be devastated. His head, must be 10 sizes smaller. Literally. Regardless, Blaine failed and that makes us all happy. Except for Blaine, but who the hell cares what he thinks.
