Jambie! Pterri! Chairry and Clocky! The Heavens Rain Pop Culture Goodness Upon Us With the Resurrection Of ...

We've been very remiss in pointing out some wonderful news. Our apologies for being so selfish and not sharing it with you, but it's been publicized by lotsa mainstream sources so you've probably already heard. Drum roll please ...

Pee Wee's Playhouse is coming to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim beginning on July 10!

Meka Lecka Hi, meka hiney ho!

That's right. All 45 episodes, along with the Christmas Special, have been acquired by the network. Sure it's not a cartoon, but if ever a live-action show aspired to be a cartoon, this is it. It's as cartoony as all get out. In fact, there was even the recurring bit with the King of Cartoons, where early cartoons (circa 1930s or so) were showcased.

According to a poll conducted by the accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche, the Mister Fanboy Staff overwhelmingly believes that Pee Wee's Big Adventure is one of the greatest movies of all time (no shit). Further, Pee-Wee's Pee-Wee Herman Show from 1980 on HBO ranks as one of the top 5 funniest TV shows ever, and is one of our most the closely guarded VHS tapes in our Impenetrable Fanboy Vault (remember VHS?). The point being that Pee-Wee rocks.

We all know he got a raw deal for getting busted getting one off in the ADULT movie theater in Florida YEARS ago, just about ending his career. So it's about time that Paul Rubens' Pee Wee character gets a chance at a comeback. There was talk about a Pee Wee movie geared towards adults a few years ago, but nothing seemed to come of it. Hopefully, this spurs even more interest.
